Call Me! is TraiTel Telecommunications new service that works as an instant communication tool between a person browsing a website and the owner or company behind the website. Call Me! as the name suggests, gives the web site visitor a location to enter their telephone number so that both parties can be connected through a telephone call immediately.

When the Call Me! button is pressed, a connection is made between the phone system of the website owner (predefined) and the visitor's phone number (entered into the box).  The connection occurs within seconds, resulting in the website owner to have a sales or support call which has turned a random visitor into a potential business opportunity.

What do I need to make this service work for me?

A TraiTel account, a website and a normal phone system - that's it. You can also use a SIP phone or TTMessenger.

What type of technology does TraiTel use?

As with every other service that TraiTel offers, the technology was built in-house by a very talented group of engineers. It is proven and tested and does not operate via VoIP, it instead uses our data centre's digital telephone lines (ISDN) to establish two calls that will merge two end points into one - the result is immediate call establishment with the highest possible quality.

What phone systems can I use?

You can use a traditional phone system connected to a normal land line or business PBX system. If you are often on the road, you can instead have all calls go directly to your mobile phone or you could have the system try a landline first and then your mobile if the first number is not answered. Additionally, with TraiTel's tightly integrated VoIP network, you can use a SIP based phone, network or device and even TTMessenger to receive calls through the Call Me! system.

What would be the benefits of using a SIP device or TTMessenger to receive calls?

With a traditional phone network, for the Call Me! service to work there needs to be two calls established.  One call to your business phone and the other to the website visitor's phone.  Using SIP or TTMessenger means that one call (to your business) can be routed through VoIP at no cost, leaving only one chargeable call to the website visitor's landline or mobile phone - thus immediately halving the cost of each Call Me! contact made.

How quickly can I be up and running with a Call Me! button?

With basic HTML knowledge you can be up and running in less than 25 minutes! Creating an account with TraiTel should take no more than 5 minutes. Selecting the Call Me! button and choosing the phone number you wish to have all calls directed to should take no more than 10 minutes.  Then finally copying the HTML code we generate for you and pasting it on your website should take another 10 minutes at most.  If you have worked with web pages before, implying that the Call Me! service is very easy to set up - would be a real understatement.

Ultimately, if you have no HTML knowledge at all, send the complete web page as an attachment to customer-service@traitel.com.au and indicate where you would like the call me button placed and also make sure to include your TraiTel user name.  For a small fee of $10 we will add the necessary code to your page and send it back ready to be uploaded to your web site.

How reliable is your service and can I count on the calls arriving to my phone?

TraiTel has been offering phone and VoIP solutions to corporate, SME's and residential users for over 7 years now.  We have built an extensive self-healing network that spans the globe.  If anything is to ever go wrong at any of our POP's (point of presence) the network automatically recognises this and routes all calls to the POP's that are 100% accessible.

Yes of course! Simply click on the "log in" button on the top right of this web page and that will take you into our demo account.  On the left, you will find a menu called "utilities" and after opening it up, you will see "Phone conference" - Call Me! service is a sub menu of that.

What is the cost of the service?

Unless you have a SIP device or TTMessenger for receiving telephone calls, the Call Me! service will need to establish two calls.  One call to your phone and the other to your website's visitor.  Therefore each connection made between your organisation and your website visitor will incur the charges of two separate calls.

For example, lets say you are located in Australia and your website visitor is in the UK.  The cost per minute to an Australian land line is $0.03 and the cost per minute to a UK landline is $0.045, the total cost to connect you both would be $0.075 per minute.

Of course, you can very easily restrict where the calls can come from and if you want to accept mobile calls or not.  This will give you full control of the geographic location of your Call Me! customers and if you are happy to accept calls from mobiles which can sometimes have a higher cost.

To get the exact cost of the calls you wish to receive, choose the country and network type (landline or mobile) that you want to receive the call on and then choose the country and network type that you want your website visitors to call you from.
